Why this title you ask?

"I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing...If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples." --John 15:5,7,8

My vision for the next six months stems from these verses. God in me is the Vine. He is my strengh, my hope, my every breath. In order for me to do anything good, in other words "bear fruit", I must be connected to this Vine, this source of Living Water. As I abide in Christ and His words abide in me, I will produce fruit for His eternal Kingdom.

"La Fruta" is 'the fruit' in Spanish, if you hadn't guessed ... :D. While I am in Colombia, I will be getting to know God more and more each day as I practice being His hands and feet to those in need. As I remain obedient to what God has called me to do, fruit, or good things, will come of what God is doing in my life and in those around me. This space is where I get to tell YOU about the wonderful things that God, the Vine, is producing in Colombia and wherever else God takes me!!

Are you ready??!

  2. Chelsie, my little baby girl is about to enter a life that is so exciting telling others about Jesus in Columba. You are such a gift from our Heavenly Father. Little did we know that you would have been given this most wonderful opportunity. I can't wait for you to report back. I really feel a little lonely when I think how far you will be away from us. You will be taken care of,I know. Just remember, that I will be praying for you and your safety.

What an awesome warrior you are, I love you so much. Gram

  4. My dearest Chelsie,

As you know it has been quite a process for me to release you in this journey God has called you to. I'll never forget the moment you told me it might be Columbia! For years I've known God has been preparing you for something big but of course you were just a kid and we couldn't imagine what it might be. In just a few a few short days we will put you on that airplane and send you far away...to Colombia.

We are so very proud of you Chelsie!! Because of your consistant obedience throughout life trials, HE has chosen to use you to accomplish great things for eternity. I know Jesus will be with you every moment and I rest in that promise.

Today as I was sitting here praying and watching the Christmas tree God led me to Phil 4:6. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

As the tears stream down my face I give you to HIM...daily.

    I love you Chelsie
